Before you book
Entertainworx is based in Johannesburg and covers events right across Gauteng. As a fully mobile setup we bring the complete rig to your venue, and we travel for destination weddings and celebrations further afield on request.
Weddings, corporate and brand functions, and private celebrations — from intimate parties to large-scale productions. Our signature Live Band × DJ option blends live musicians with a seamless DJ set for maximum energy.
Popular dates fill up fast — Saturdays in wedding season and the December party run especially — so the earlier you reach out, the better. It always comes down to your specific date, though, so send it through and we will tell you straight away whether it is open. Last-minute enquiries are welcome too.
Absolutely. We plan the key moments and overall feel with you beforehand, and we will happily work from your must-play and do-not-play lists. On the night we read the room and take requests where they fit, so the set feels like yours rather than a fixed playlist.
Yes. We provide MC support to keep the evening flowing — welcoming guests, cueing speeches, the first dance and the other big moments — so everything lands at the right time and you can stay in the moment.
Yes. Every booking includes professional sound, and we tailor lighting to your venue and the mood you want. One team handles music, MC support and production, so the whole night runs seamlessly.

We have been shaping events since 1999 — over 25 years and more than 500 Johannesburg celebrations. Founder Graeme Moodley, known on the decks as The GrumpStar, leads every set personally.
